Betting content and responsible gambling
The notice every widget shows, and how to hide odds, bookmakers, affiliate links and banners where you must.
Widgets can show betting content: odds, bookmaker logos and links, your affiliate buttons and commercial banners. The Compliance section, in the right-hand column of the configurator, controls where that content may appear and what notice is shown with it.
These settings help you meet your obligations. They are not legal advice, and you remain responsible for what your site shows in each country.
What every widget shows
On every plan, the widget shows a responsible-gambling notice under its content, written for the visitor's country: a short warning such as 18+ Gioco Responsabile in Italy, a link to a support service and a help line. Where no country text exists, the default is Gamble responsibly. 18+ only. with a link to Gambling Therapy.
The country texts only change the notice. No country turns off betting content by itself: that happens only when you, or your contract, declare it.

On Pro and Ultra you can declare a policy. On other plans the section is visible but read-only, and the country notice above still applies.

Betting surfaces
Turn off one kind of content for every visitor: Disable all odds, Disable bookmaker links, Disable affiliate links, Disable commercial banners and Hide bookmaker logos.
Notice text
Show compliance notice turns the notice on or off. The other fields replace the country text with your own: Responsible-gambling text, Resource link label, Resource URL, Help text, Help URL and Additional compliance text.
How the rules combine
- The strictest rule wins. Once any rule turns something off, no other setting can turn it back on. A country restriction cannot be undone by a switch, and a switch cannot restore content your contract excludes.
- A policy agreed in your contract always applies. SoccersAPI can mark a policy as enforced; the configurator cannot relax it.
- Your plan still applies. Compliance only removes content. It never shows odds, links or banners that your plan does not include.
Two examples
An Italian site that must not show betting content. Set Compliance mode to Clean. Odds, bookmakers, affiliate links and banners disappear for every visitor. The livescore, results and statistics stay.
An international site that must hide betting from visitors in Italy and
Spain. Set Restricted visitor countries to IT, ES and keep Block
betting when country is unknown on. Visitors elsewhere still see odds; visitors
from those countries, and visitors whose country cannot be detected, do not.
When the country cannot be detected
The widget detects the visitor's country from their connection, using public geolocation services, and remembers it for a few hours. Detection can fail, for example when a browser extension blocks those requests. While the country is not known yet, a site with a country policy shows no betting content.
- Without a country policy, betting content is shown as usual.
- With a site jurisdiction or restricted countries, betting content stays off for that visitor, unless you turn off Block betting when country is unknown.
Each affiliate link can also have its own Target countries and Restricted countries, and each bookmaker its own Restricted countries. See Monetization.
